Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform simulations of quantum algorithms, quantum circuits, and many-body quantum systems to validate and enhance quantum algorithm performance
  • Conduct theoretical and applied research on near-term quantum computing algorithms, applications, and enabling technologies
  • Author publications, presentations, patent applications, and research outputs contributing to quantum computing advancement
  • Work collaboratively in international teams comprising full-time staff and affiliated PhD students on cutting-edge research
  • Contribute to organizational growth through research, development, and technical leadership in quantum algorithm optimization
  • Apply advanced numerical methods including tensor networks, MPS, PEPS, TDVP, DMRG, and circuit contraction techniques
  • Bridge theoretical quantum computing advances with practical applications and hardware implementation

Skills & Tools:

  • Advanced quantum simulation methods (tensor networks, MPS, PEPS, TDVP, DMRG, circuit contraction, Pauli propagation)
  • Programming languages (Python, C++, quantum computing frameworks)
  • Quantum information theory and quantum computation expertise
  • Many-body quantum physics and quantum algorithm design
  • Research methodology and academic publication experience
  • Quantum hardware platforms and industry collaboration experience
  • Software development for quantum computing applications
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration and communication skills
  • Independent research project management abilities
